Introducing Archie's Bagels…
Created in late 2023 as a passion project, Archie’s bagels had a single goal: to achieve the chewiest, doughiest bagel in Melbourne for my friends and family to enjoy.
My Jewish heritage has provided me with a unique appreciation for food. We sit and eat with those we love, each meal a culmination of warmth and nostalgia, religious doctrine and unapologetically candid discussion.
First invented in the Jewish shtetls of Poland, the Bagel was eventually brought to the US by Jewish immigrants, where it quickly became popular. In the 60’s, New York became known for its’ unique bagel style - extra chewy, boiled and baked.
Archie’s aims to combine the nostalgia of a New York style bagel with Melbourne brunch culture. They’re also kosher (not certified).
Mostly, they’re delicious. So I hope you enjoy the bite.
